I am Girl not Gala...

             Well, it is very hard to cover whole story of a girl in one article but though you all will understand what I am emphasizing through this article. As flower blossoms it looks so pretty as new girl child but the difference between new flower and new girl child is girl has to come into the world with permission and flower without permission. Her grandmother & other family members were against but though her mother gave her birth. At that time she was centre of discussion.

             Then she grew up little more. Family was discussing whether they should send her school or keep at home hence she could help her mother in house-works. Even this time also, she was centre of family’s discussion.

             Then after, she was young girl. While going to college, many boys, standing at gate of college or society or street shop, were staring at her body parts, passing abuse comments. She actually complained but nothing worked out. “Slut walk” in Delhi is recent & best example of girls’ angriness towards few boys’ lust. Again she was centre of discussion.

             Now her marriage has fixed. She fell in love in college time but she was been forced to forget that boy to marry her parent’s choice who was from similar class & caste. The boy who was been left, he started thinking, without understanding her, that that girl cheated on him. Unfortunately, she was again the centre of discussion in family and in that boy’s friend’s circle.

             Girl is in her in-law house. She adjusted herself with new family & people. Similar caste & class didn’t give her similar love what she had from her father & lover. She was always been outraged by her sister-in-law & mother-in-law. Finally she committed suicide after unbearable violence. In-law house members showed different story to save themselves from being imprisoned. That false story was, “parent-in-law said to media that woman was having relationship with other man and she couldn’t marry him that’s why she committed suicide.” Now she was again the centre of story front of the world by media.

             She is also centre of my article.

             According to that girl, “I was always been part of their entertainment. It was never been about care but they were afraid of their status & image in society. Nobody thought about my dreams. That’s why I am frustrated and now I have to admit that I am girl not gala…”

             All incidents, shown above, may not be part of your life but that doesn’t mean that it is not existed. In last, I want to say something positive to bring improvement in society. The whole sequence of making compromises starts with first compromise. It becomes too hard to break that sequence once you are deep into the whirlpool of compromises. You can come out of it when you recognize a person who is extending his/her hand to get you out of it.
