“Memories don’t die, they kill us slowly-slowly.” It was
yesterday when I thought of you, I took care of you and I loved you; these
statement suits you if you had a mutual break-up or you got dumped by someone
but today you have moved on. To come out of the whirl of memories, you need to
make it past and look ahead what is yet to come.
If one is broken up with someone then he/she will think that
it was great phase of life, it was so pretty to get gifts with lots of love, it
was so endearing to have someone special and it was fun & excitement to
meet and fight with the beloved. But one common thing in all statement is “It
was”. Past tense. Whatever one had, it was. But what about now? And the problem
with these kind of people is not that they are seated at the riverbank and
throwing stones into the river but they upload gloomy pictures on Facebook and occupy
themselves in grievous condition. It must be understood that few people are for
a while in our life, they leave us and go away where they are destined. Their
presence in our life was god’s purpose and may be part of the god’s jigsaw
puzzle to complete our life. So, if people leaves us alone, forgive them
quickly and try to laugh at our past that is the best way we learn to live with
our past. No matter what was their reason behind leaving us alone but the most
important thing should be taken care in our life is “Our Spark (spirit)”. Do
not let it down. One thing is very much sure that life goes on, no matter what
happens. The Sun rises every morning but it has not stopped it due to past
solar eclipses. Your past can drag you back sooner or later if you are fully
immersed in it but let it flow as water flows in the river. Don’t try to build
dams on memories of your past. Once you let it flow, it will automatically get a
break then after you keep moving ahead.
Now, you can stop letting memories kill you slowly-slowly by
accepting your past positively. My purpose of writing this kind of article was to
make you aware that you can no longer be a bird which is imprisoned in a cage
of memories. Stop nagging your past, open your wings because new sky is waiting
to welcome you.
“Yesterday, I remembered you but today I am moved on.”
